League Rules.
The Nene League is adminstered and run by Nene Valley Basketball Club who will provide the venue and officials for the competition.
Teams pay an competition entry fee plus a match fee for each game. Players and coaches must be registered with Basketball England and their licence number recorded on the score sheet.
Games are played over four quarters of 12 minutes with a running clock, stopping during time-outs and the last two minutes of the fourth quarter.
Teams are permitted one time-out per quarter, unused time-outs cannot be carried forward. All other basketball rules apply.
T-shirts under kit are permitted, but must be the same colour as the vest
Leggings and leg sleeves are not permitted, knee protection can be worn but it must finish above and below the knee.
Shooting sleeves, bandanas or other head wear is not permitted.
It is the responsibility of the Coach to ensure players are correctly dressed.

The Nene League was completed last night
with Nene Valley Venom and East Camb
Warriors facing off for the fourth time
this season in the Play-off Final.
The previous games had all gone in favour
of Nene Valley, although by and aggregate
score advantage of just 16 points, and
another close encounter was on the cards.
Warriors made a quick start but it was
Nene that led 15-14 at the first break.
From then on the teams traded baskets
with Nene extending their lead to 7 points, heading into the second half at 29-22.
Warriors responded well in the third,
making a defensive change and winning
the quarter 11-20 to take a 40-42 lead.
In a tense fourth, the teams were head to
head to the final whistle, finishing at 19-19
and giving Warriors a well deserved 59-61
Win and their first Nene League title.
