The Nene Valley League (NVL) is a central venue competition based at Stanground Sports Centre in Peterborough and administered by Nene Valley Basketball Club.
Entry to The League is by invitation. League entry fee is £100 per team plus a deposit of £150 per club, paid at the start of the season.
The venue costs and match officials will be paid by the NVL, teams will pay a match fee of £60 per game in cash on the night.

Rules.
All players and coaches must be members of Basketball England and have the appropriate licence to play in competition games. A team list with licence numbers should be submitted before games.
Players must be registered before January 31 and must play in an NVL competition before that date.
Transfers between clubs will only be permitted with the agreement of all parties. No transfers will be allowed after January 31.
Teams are permitted squads of 14 players maximum per team over the course of the season.
Should a team be unable to make a fixture, they should notify the NVL as soon as possible. Where that notification is less than 48 hours before the scheduled tip time, that team may be liable for game costs.
Should a team withdraw during the season all matches involving that team will become void, at the discretion of the organiser. The team deposit will be forfeit.
Playing uniform will comprise of shirt and shorts with all team players wearing matching kit.
Sleeveless vests can be worn underneath the shirt provided it is the same colour as the shirt and is not visible.
Undershorts in the same colour as the team shorts are also permitted but should not be visible below the leg of the shorts.
Knee pads are permitted but should only cover an area just above the knee and just below. Shooting sleeves are not allowed.
Game Format.
Games are played over 4 x 12 minute quarters of running clock, stopping for the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter. 5 minute overtime periods as required.
Each team will be permitted one time-out per quarter, for which the clock will be stopped, plus one time-out for each overtime period.
Games will be played under FIBA basketball rules at the discretion of the Referee.
